Backstory:

Dear me, you need this from me too? Well, let’s see what I can come up with. I played tennis in junior high, and this was something that took up a lot of my time back then. It’s funny, actually… I didn’t feel all that much motivation for the sport while I was practicing it, not until the later part of my third year in junior high anyway. When I did start to enjoy it… Well, I was forced to quit.

When I got into High School, I moved abroad for three years, getting a scholarship in the US. It was a really interesting time, that had its ups and downs, of course, but I feel I learned a lot. I was really considering going into photographing, as a real career, not just a hobby, but something rather unexpected happened along the way, and I found myself on the other side of the camera instead; I was scouted as a model.

It was interesting, yes, but also very tiring, and some experiences with the people I met during that line of profession took the joy of photographing away from me. The business is too dirty, and I feel I don’t want any part in it. True, a lot of professions probably have their dirty laundry that needs to be cleaned out, but… I still felt like a new start was needed. I moved back to Japan and tried to pick up my tennis racket again… But I’d lost the spark that made consider becoming a professional back in Junior High. And I really didn’t want to make some half hearted attempts at tennis, as I feel it’s worth a lot more than that.

I guess I’m the kind of person who always puts other people’s interest before my own, and with that in mind, I went on a few reversed compensated dates with different women. I found that even though I’m not exactly the type to fall heads over heels with anyone, I still like the way my mere presence can make a woman’s face light up. If I can bring some joy to a person’s life, I can feel that I matter, even though life might not have turned out the way I expected it from the start. Therefore I’m applying for the job as Host at L’Atobe, and I’m willing to serve both male and female clients. I can’t say I’ll make the best host ever, but I can say that I’m willing to give my all to try and be the best host ever.
